NEC Multi-Purpose Cooperative is a duly registered Cooperative with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), the regulatory agency of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines over matters concerning the development of cooperatives in the country.
NEC Multi-Purpose Cooperative is one of the Cooperatives in the country having more than 600M in Assets. We have been operating since 1993, started as closed type Coop from NATCCO for its employees, and became community type last 2006.
- Thrift and savings mobilization among the members for capital formation;
- Creation of funds in order to grant loans for productive and providential purposes to its members;
- Promote the cooperative as a way of life for improving the social and economic well-being of the people;
- To do any related activity for the members self-government, improve social and/or economic well-being until a truly just democratic society;
- To work with the cooperative movement, non-government and government organizations/entitites in the promotion and the development of the cooperatives and in carrying out the government policies;
- To engage in cash management and any other money transfer services;
- To undertake other activities for the effective and efficient implementation of the provisions of the Cooperative Code;
