Mr.Rafael C. Sinon, a family man and business owner, has been a NEC MPC member since June 20, 2017.

His life has significantly improved, in part because of NEC MPC. In handling money, He grew more responsible. Having invested in the cooperative, he has safeguarded his family’s future with savings and an emergency fund. His business, the “Lakay Machine Shop” started in a small space with one machine and three employees and became successful. In spite of the fact that the pandemic forced other businesses to close, his business, on the other hand, expanded not only in its business space but also in its services with “Lakay Motorshop”. His business now has 12 machines and 7 employees.

With nearly 7 years of experience as a member of NEC MPC, he embodies the mission of our cooperative by living an empowered life.

His message to others is this:

“Join na po kayo sa NEC MPC. Maganda ang mithiin ng koop, lalo pag tulungan ang pinag-uusapan. Magandang resulta ang naranasan ko bilang miyembro at possible din na mangyare sa inyo”

To improve the quality of life he wants for his family, he experimented with a variety of business ventures. He took advantage of the financial assistance during his entrepreneurial journey and prudently applied it to the growth of the company. Mr. Golez has now owned two businesses: Omijones Digital Printing and Onejoy catering and services.

His advice to others is”

” May purpose ang pagsali sa kooperatiba, hindi basta uutang lang. Dapat may tamang paggagamitan at ang obligasyon ay dapat bayaran upang makaulit na pagakatiwalaan”

Kahit sa simpleng bagay alam ko nandiyan palagi ang NEC MPC para sa akin, at habang tumatagal ang aming pagsasama mas tumitibay at mas lumalago ako. Kasama ng aking mga empleyado na bumubuo ng CDC Business Consultancy Services. Sa kasalukuyan mula sa aking loan noong nakaraang May 2023 unti-unti kong naipaayos at mas napalago ang aking opisina.

Mula sa kaibuturan ng aking puso maraming maraming salamat NEC MPC at sa mga bumubuo dito sa inyong suporta at pagtitiwala sa akin mula noon hanggang ngayon. Alam ko mas malayo pa ang kakayanin kong lakbayin at tuparin sa tulong ninyo.

It’s a story of how a small review center, with the help of a dedicated cooperative like NEC MPC, was able to not only survive but flourish in the face of adversity. As NEC MPC Cubao celebrates its 16th year my story is a hopeful reminder that with the right support system, even the most challenging times can  become opportunitiy

Ako si Christopher Tolentino naging miyembro ng NEC MPC noonh January 2020 sa tulomg na din ng aking mga kapatid na iglesia ni cristo na matagal ng miyembro ng Kooperatiba. Ang aking negosyo ay buy and sell ng mga computer spare parts at second hand laptops. Ako ay nakapag patayo ng additional physical store na sa Amadeo, Cavite at patuloy na nakakakuha ng suporta sa kooperatiba.

Maraming Salamat sa pagtitiwala. Mabuhay ang lahat   ng kamay-ari.

I applied as a member back then because I needed financial assistance for the hospitalization of my mom. The process in applying for a loan was very easy to follow. The management and staff were very courteous and accommodating. Then, in 2018 I set up my own business which is the Batter Baked Goodies Shop. Again, NEC MPC helped by approving my loan. I really am thankful to NEC for assisting SME owners like me during times of financial need. Having friendly people is an added benefit to being a member. Even if i become financially stable, I will still choose to remain a member

This is exactly what Jerlyn Ybiosa, a dedicated businesswoman and a proud member of NEC Multi-Purpose Cooperative (NEC MPC) Batasan Branch, has achieved.

Jerlyn runs a space rental business and a sari-sari store, both of which have been her family’s source of income for years. While her businesses were already established, life presented her with new challenges—her house needed urgent repairs, and she needed additional funds to maintain her rental spaces. At the same time, she wanted to ensure that her sari-sari store remained stable and could continue serving her community. With these financial demands, she knew she had to find a way to sustain everything without putting too much strain on her resources.

It was during this time that a neighbor introduced her to NEC MPC. Encouraged by the stories of trust and support that NEC MPC had provided to others, she decided to take a chance. To her relief and gratitude, NEC MPC believed in her and extended the financial assistance she needed at a time when it mattered most.

With NEC MPC’s support, Jerlyn was able to make the necessary repairs to her house and continue managing her space rentals without financial worries. More than that, she was able to maintain and even expand her sari-sari store, increasing her inventory and offering more products to her customers. As a result, her income grew, allowing her to provide even better for her family.

Today, Jerlyn looks back with immense gratitude, knowing that NEC MPC was there for her when she needed help the most. Now, as her businesses continue to thrive, she serves as an inspiration to others, proving that with perseverance and the right support, challenges can be overcome. She remains deeply thankful to NEC MPC—not just for the financial aid, but for the trust that empowered her to secure a better future for herself and her loved ones.

In 2013, Rhasel and Lea Biazon took a leap of faith and joined NEC MPC, driven by a dream—to build a successful fish dealership business and create a better future for their family. With only a few stores as their clients, they worked tirelessly, waking up before dawn, ensuring the quality of their supplies, and slowly earning the trust of their customers.

Through their unwavering dedication and the financial support of NEC MPC, their small venture began to grow. What once was a modest operation soon expanded, allowing them to supply fresh fish not only across Taguig City but also to nearby areas. Seeing an opportunity to serve more customers, they took another bold step—putting up their own stores to cater directly to consumers.

At one point, they dared to dream even bigger, attempting to establish their own fish farm. However, they soon realized the challenges of managing it. Instead of giving up, they adapted—choosing to focus on bulk purchasing from trusted suppliers, ensuring the stability of their growing business. Their resilience and willingness to learn became key to their continued success.

What makes their story even more inspiring is their desire to uplift others. As their business flourished, Rhasel and Lea extended their success to their relatives, providing them with jobs and opportunities to support their own families. What started as a family-run business, with just the two of them managing everything, has now grown into a thriving enterprise with dedicated workers. Even more remarkably, their children, inspired by their parents’ determination, have now ventured into businesses of their own, continuing the legacy of hard work and perseverance.

On the bustling streets of Daet, where the aroma of freshly grilled barbecue fills the air, you’ll find Mr. Ramon Chua—better known as Kuya A BBQ, the owner of one of the most popular barbecue carts in the area. But beyond serving his delicious barbecue, Kuya Ramon is also a proud member of NEC Multi-Purpose Cooperative (NEC-MPC). His journey is a testament that even through simple means, big dreams can be achieved.

At first, Kuya Ramon was hesitant about NEC-MPC. “I wasn’t sure if I should ask about it,” he recalls. But his curiosity led him to inquire, and eventually, he attended the Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES). That’s when he decided to become a member. He started his financial journey with savings. “Whatever coins I had left after buying supplies for my barbecue, I saved them,” he shared. It was a small habit, but it transformed his mindset about money.

“I feel more at ease with NEC,” Kuya Ramon said. “I’ve tried joining other cooperatives before, but it felt too burdensome. When I started saving with NEC, I felt a sense of relief. I guess it’s all about finding the right fit.”

Every day, after buying ingredients from the market, he would drop by the NEC office to deposit even a small amount. For Kuya Ramon, everything he does is for the education of his children. “My priority is my children’s education. When they need to pay tuition fees, I know I can rely on NEC,” he said.

Recently, all his hard work paid off. His eldest child graduated from college and even passed the Nursing Licensure Exam! Meanwhile, his other child is currently pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. “My wife and I can see how much they love studying,” he added. “We never forced them—they chose their own paths, and we support them wholeheartedly. Some people ask me, ‘Aren’t your kids embarrassed that you sell barbecue?’ I tell them, ‘They grew up with it, and they even love helping out!’”

With pride and joy, Kuya Ramon shares his family’s achievements. “Because of NEC-MPC’s programs, I was able to send my child to college, and now, they’re a licensed nurse. Soon, my other child will also graduate,” he said.

Kuya Ramon’s story proves that success isn’t just measured by money. True wealth lies in things that can never be stolen—like education. With the support of NEC-MPC, he has shown that hard work and perseverance lead to great rewards.
